The Living Laboratory was delighted to welcome Professor Iain McInnes, Vice Principal and Head of the University of Glasgow’s College of Medical, Veterinary and Life Sciences (MVLS), for a meaningful discussion with our local community partners.

The visit brought together representatives from local community organisations, including Impact Arts, Elderpark Housing, Gilded Lily, and Govan Community Project. Together, the group discussed ongoing and future collaborations between the Living Laboratory, the wider MVLS College, and local partners - exploring how we can continue to work hand-in-hand to deliver projects that place community voices at the heart of healthcare innovation.

At the Living Laboratory, active engagement with local residents and organisations is at the centre of our work. We're proud to be collaborating with partners on the delivery of impactful, community-led arts projects - which includes the development of a community mosaic artwork and a handwoven tapestry.

These projects not only celebrate Govan’s rich healthcare legacy, but also actively involve residents in the ongoing development of the Health Innovation Hub (HiH) and University of Glasgow's precision medicine cluster.
