Join us for a week of activities designed to help you settle into university life, make new friends, and explore your new city! From campus tours and cultural workshops to social events and practical information sessions, Welcome Week is your chance to connect with other international students and get the support you need for a successful start.
All events are free but please book to secure a space. Please note all times are in UK time.
Faith on Campus Tour - Tue 6th Jan, 12:00-13:00
Open to students of all faiths (or none). The University Chaplain and student leaders of campus faith societies will give you a tour of places of worship, reflection and prayer on campus before meeting back at the Chaplaincy to eat FREE PIZZA!

Kelvingrove Museum Art Gallery & Museum - Wed 7th January, 12:30
Come discover the wonders of the Kelvingrove Museum, a beautiful museum located near campus. The daily organ recital also starts at 13:00.

Hunterian Museum Tour - Thu 8th Jan, 13:00-14:30
Discover Scotland’s oldest public museum and explore fascinating collections of art, science, and history on a guided tour through the Hunterian Museum.

International Student Picnic - Thu 8th Jan, 13:00-15:00
Bring you own lunch and if you like you can also bring a dish from your home country to share with others while you meet the International Student Support team and new other new students. Tea and coffee will be provided. Meet on Floor 4 of the Fraser Building

International Student Induction Talk and Mixer - Fri 9th Jan, 13:00-14:30
Our International Student Induction is designed to help you settle into life in the UK and at the University. After the talk, we'll be playing Human Bingo where you'll have the chance to meet other students and win prizes.

International Welcome Ceilidh - Fri 9th Jan, 18:00-21:00
Experience a lively evening of traditional Scottish music and dancing at our Welcome Cèilidh - no experience needed, just bring your energy and join the fun! It’s a must-do Scottish experience

Glasgow Street Art Walking Tour - Saturday 8th Jan, 11:00-12:30
On this 1.5 hour walk there’s no cathedrals, grand buildings or monuments, you will experience the real Glasgow. You’ll meander down alleys and under bridges to uncover some of the city’s most beautiful pieces of art that are taking over the walls by storm. All with a local, expert guide.

Get your bearings and discover Glasgow through a 'weegie's' eyes, with a local, expert guide. Immerse yourself in the sights and sounds of the city as you travel back through the centuries to discover our turbulent history, and how it has shaped Glasgow into the vibrant place you see today.
