Finding and securing a traineeship in order to qualify as a solicitor can be challenging—and the Law Society of Scotland is here to help!

Hear from the Law Society of Scotland about how to secure a traineeship along and key information about the next steps in your route to becoming a solicitor.

You'll get insight into how law firms recruit and see their annual traineeship market statistics.

This session is targeted at senior phase Scots Law LLB students (Year 3/Year 4/Accelerated) and is also open to any interested Diploma students.

This session will also include top tips on how best to present yourself to legal employers ahead of the Law Fair on Wednesday, 8 October.

Thinking about a legal career outside Scotland? Join this engaging panel discussion with representatives from leading law firms to explore the routes to qualification as a solicitor in other UK jurisdictions and internationally.

You’ll gain valuable insights into the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE), hear about the panellists' career journeys and learn what life is really like working in different legal markets.

The discussion will also cover key topics such as recruitment processes, building commercial awareness and adapting to different legal systems. The session will include time for a Q&A so you can have your questions answered.

You do not need to register for this panel session. Admission will be on a first-come-first-served basis.
