Sisters Together, November 2025

Sisters Together is a space for students to meet other women studying at UoG, to make inter-cultural connections and friendships.

We have two gatherings coming up in November:

1. Visit to Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum – Thursday, 13th November 2-3pm – we’ll meet at the Museum entrance on the side that faces back towards the University, **not** the Argyle Street side! We’ll spend around an hour there catching the highlights (it’s a big place!), and perhaps even grab a hot drink in the café there at the end.

 2. Christmas Craft session – Friday 28th November, 1-2pm in the Memorial Chapel – we’ll be making papercraft gift tags, led by Charlie Meiklejohn. She’s the Community Engagement and Fundraising Manager for a charity called Christian Aid, but also an avid crafter, and we’re delighted to welcome her along to the University!

We’ll look forward to seeing you at one or both of these sessions – as always, no need to register beforehand. And feel free to bring along any other women studying at Glasgow.

Sisters Together is a collaboration between the Inter-faith Chaplaincy and the International Student Support team.

Death Cafe, Semester 1 2025/2026

The Inter-faith Chaplaincy offers a monthly Death Cafe which aims to provide a safe space for students to talk about matters related to death and dying, in an informal environment. We meet in the rear of the Memorial Chapel and enjoy tea/coffee and cake together before engaging in a participant-led conversation. All students are welcome.

Death Cafe will return in Semester 1 of 2025/26 on the dates below. See you then!

  • Thursday 9 October, 1.30pm
  • Thursday 6 November, 1.30pm
  • Thursday 4 December, 1.30pm

In the meantime, if you would prefer to have a one to one conversation with a Chaplain about death and bereavement, please contact us by email and we can set up a supportive conversation with you: chaplaincy@gla.ac.uk
