Counselling & Wellbeing at UofG provides a range of support to help you manage you mental health and build strategies that will help you successfully complete your course of study.
Support is provided for a range of issues and severity, to ensure that you feel supported in a way that works for you. You can learn more about the various support offerings available and how to access them below.
Festive Holidays Service Closure
Our Service will close on Friday 19th December 2025 at 5pm for the Christmas Holiday, and reopen on Monday 5th January at 9am. During this time calls and/or emails to the service will not be answered.
If you need support during the closure period, you can call our 24/7 Counselling and Advice Line on on 0800 028 3766. You can also connect with support online through the Student Assistance Programme App.
For immediate medical help or advice (if your condition is not life threatening) call NHS24 on 111. If you are concerned about your own or someone else's mental health you can contact the Samaritans on 116 123 or Breathing Space on 0800 83 85 87. In case of emergency or crisis involving threat to life or serious injury, call 999 for emergency services.
