The colophon, reading "FLORENTIAE facta eſt harum epiſtolarum impreſſio Per Antonium Franciſci Venetum.  Anno Domini M.CCCCLXXXVII. X. kalen. Iulias”, was reprinted from the genuine Florentine edition of that date (Florence:  Antonius Francisci, Venetus, 22 June 1487).   Assigned by GW to the Venetian press of Tommaso di Piasi;  in BMC entered under Venice, Christophorus de Pensis, de Mandello.

Annotations:	Frequent marginal annotations in a humanist hand (mainly extracting keywords);  other marginal notes in a later hand, which is also probably responsible for frequent underlining, several manicules, and the numbering of the epistolae using a mixture of arabic and roman numerals;  number “40.” in red ink on AA1r;  lozenge-shaped slip of paper with lot or inventory number “2177” pasted onto AA1r.
