Create alternative formats with SensusAccess
Staff and students can use SensusAccess to create alternative formats of digital files, it allows you to:
- Create accessible files from inaccessible ones (e.g. convert image-based PDFs to Word documents).
- Convert accessible files into formats like MP3, DAISY, EPUB, Mobi, and Braille.
Conditions of use
By using SensusAccess, you agree to the following:
- Use your institutional email address.
- Only convert content you own, have permission to use, or is out of copyright.
- You must have legal access to the original file (e.g. via the Library or a purchased copy).
- If you have a print disability, you may convert content for personal use underCopyright, Designs and Patents Act, 1988, Section 31A (People with Disabilities: copies of works for personal use).
- Do not share converted files, use SensusAccess commercially, or upload personal/sensitive data.
