What is Residence Life?

Residence Life is a service that supports and enhances the living experience for students in University of Glasgow halls and partner residences.

Moving into university accommodation can feel like a big change. New faces, new routines and often a new city can be overwhelming. Residence Life is here to help make that transition smoother, safer and more enjoyable.

Guided by student feedback, the University’s Residential Life Reimagined strategy places wellbeing, consistent support and opportunities to connect at the centre of your halls experience.

While Accommodation Services take care of your booking, contracts, payments, move-in logistics and day-to-day support, the Residence Life team focuses on your experience in halls from the moment you arrive until you move out.

Residence Life’s goals

We are committed to:

  • Providing consistent support across all types of accommodation
  • Helping students feel connected and less isolated
  • Creating opportunities to get involved, develop skills and enjoy hall life
  • Supporting safety and wellbeing for everyone in halls

Our team is here to help you feel at home, build your community and make the most of your time at the University of Glasgow.
