Team Structure

To support over 6,000 students living in University of Glasgow accommodation, Residence Life includes specialist teams in three areas: 

  • Health and Welfare 
    Supporting wellbeing, mental health and personal safety, with trained professionals available when needed 
  • Social Responsibility 
    Supporting sustainable choices, halls and campus projects and involvement in local and global initiatives 
  • Events and Volunteering 
    Creating inclusive activities, building community and supporting volunteers to bring ideas to life 

Alongside these teams, wardens and student volunteers play an essential role in halls. 

  • Wardens – Support safety and events within residences 
  • Volunteers – Offer peer support, help shape events and create welcoming environments

  • Support wellbeing, mental health and personal safety
  • Organise wellbeing events
  • Host drop-ins in halls

Communications Officer

The Communications Officer supports the Residence Life team by managing digital content and communications. They are here to:

  • Promote events and activities online and in halls
  • Capture moments from events
  • Share student experiences through social media
  • Encourage residents to volunteer as student content creators
