Registration & Enrolment Operations Group (REOG) – Refresh Announcement

As part of the upcoming enrolment changes, the project team has been working closely with Student & Academic Services (Registry) to refresh the Registration & Enrolment Operations Group (REOG).

About REOG

The primary goal of REOG is to enhance the student experience and ensure staff are fully prepared to support registration and enrolment—before, during, and after the main student intake period.

REOG plays a vital role in providing operational oversight and resolving issues related to registration and enrolment activities across the University. The group fosters cross-institutional collaboration to ensure enrolment processes are well-coordinated and positioned for success.

Introducting the New REOG Meeting

The existing REOG meeting will be updated in the coming weeks and will continue to focus on Operational Leadership and, turning strategy into action. The members of the refreshed meeting will continue to manage day-to-day operations, align resources and teams, resolve complex issues, and ensure the smooth onboarding of students.

Membership Includes:

  • Learning & Teaching Operational Managers
  • MSDI Student Records & Finance
  • Information Services (Ivanti)
  • Registration & Enrolment Team
  • UKVI Team
  • Timetabling
  • Central Finance

New Microsoft Teams Channel

We are also launching a new Microsoft Teams channel on the main REOG Teams Page to support the the staff who handle the day-to-day implementation of registration and enrolment processes.

Staff who are essential to delivering a high-quality, consistent student experience.

The new channel will:

  • Provide access to relevant documents and guidance on enrolment in addition to existing registration materials.
  • Enable collaboration across teams.
  • Support staff.

Further details on how to join the channel will be shared here shortly. We strongly encourage all relevant staff to join and take part.

Improving Availability of Enrolment Information

REOG will become a central point for sharing information relating to enrolment, as well as continuing to share information on registration. For example, the Teams channel will have a list called Class Enrolment Reserve Numbers, which will be available throughout the enrolment period (until the end of Add/Drop), which will include:

  • Total spaces remaining in the course (including both reserved and unreserved spaces)
  • Total unreserved spaces remaining
  • Total reserved spaces remaining

The intention is to aid staff during the enrolment cycle by making data sources more centrally available. This information will be made available shortly, in the meantime for further information on the list mentioned above, please refer to the ‘Guidance: Setting and Monitoring Course Reserve Capacities’

Connecting to the Enrolment Working Group

The refreshed REOG structure will maintain a direct link to the Enrolment Working Group.
