What influenced your decision to be a part of this project the most?
Having worked in Life Sciences for the past 10years, I have supported students through Registration & Enrolment every year which has allowed me to gain the knowledge and expertise to now act as a key point of contact for all enrolment related matters within our area. I wanted to be part of this project to share that knowledge and experience to hopefully help make a positive impact on the experience both for students and for support staff involved in the process.
What are you most looking forward to tackling during this project?
I am most looking forward to bridging the gap between senior management and support staff "on the ground" to help make informed decisions that will benefit everyone. I also hope that this project will see real change to the student enrolment experience as well gaining a broader knowledge of how other areas of the University function during this key period and taking that back to our team.
What do you think will be the biggest challenges in this project?
I think the biggest challenges will be improving the experience of our incoming student cohort due to the complicated timetable setup and the volume of choice currently on offer. We are looking to find a solution to navigate choice whilst also looking to maintain flexibility in line with the sector.
