Dr Hartling is a Professor at the University of Alberta and a Canada Research Chair in Knowledge Synthesis and Translation. The focus of Dr Hartling's work is to synthesize the best available scientific evidence to support decision-making by healthcare providers, administrators, and patients and their families. She has been involved in conducting systematic and other forms of reviews for 25 years.
