Bute Hall set out with round dining tables ready for celebration dinnerWe are delighted to announce that the booking link for this year’s Annual Veterinary Alumni Dinner IS NOW OPEN!  The Dinner, for all graduates celebrating a milestone anniversary in 2025 (i.e. those who graduated in a year ending in ‘5’ or ‘0’) will take place on Saturday 25 October 2025 in the Bute Hall at the University of Glasgow.  Use this link to book to attend the 2025 Alumni Dinner

The evening will begin with a drinks reception in the Hunterian Museum, followed by the Black Tie Dinner and Ceilidh in the Bute Hall.

In addition, the Sir William Weipers Memorial Lecture will take place at 6pm on Friday 24 October 2025 in the McCall Lecture Theatre, Garscube Campus, followed by a drinks reception in the Mary Stewart Building.  The lecture, ‘Clinics to campus: a veterinary tale of pain, pleasure and progress’, will be delivered by Professor Andrea Nolan CBE FRSE MRCVS.  After four decades as a veterinary surgeon during periods of immense change, Andrea will reflect on the different but surprisingly complementary threads of her learning from work as a researcher in animal pain and a university leader to offer insights for the future.

Use the Friday night as an opportunity to meet up informally with classmates and catch up with School staff and friends over drinks at Garscube after the lecture, before celebrating at the formal Dinner and Ceilidh the following night!
