Many congratulations to Katie Denholm, Farm Animal Clinical Sciences, who was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons for ‘Meritorious Contributions to Clinical Practice’, in recognition of her research and teaching work at RCVS Fellowship Day in London last week.
In addition, Áine O’Brien, final year BVMS student, was runner up in the Fellows of the Future Student Award following a presentation, ‘Validation of Brix refractometer to estimate Immunoglobulin G (IgG) in porcine colostrum’. This competition is open to UK veterinary students and offers a fantastic opportunity to showcase their knowledge, creativity, and passion for the profession.
Rylyn Koger, BVMS4, also took part in this prestigious event and presented a poster of her work, ‘Assessing pathological findings in bycatch cases of stranded Phocoena phocoena in Scotland’.
Congratulations to everyone involved with this inspiring event celebrating veterinary excellence.
