Business School shortlisted for 2026 AMBA Awards

Shortlistees for the 2026 AMBA and BGA Excellence Awards have been announced with Adam Smith Business School in the running for two awards.
The Barefoot in Business partnership - a social impact project managed by Jan Shearer, Accreditations Manager, has been shortlisted for Best Business School Partnership.
The partnership between Adam Smith Business School, female entrepreneurs in Ugandan slums and Glasgow primary schools is empowering women of all ages.
Colourful tote bags produced sustainably by Ugandan female entrepreneurs are sold in a business created by Glasgow pupils. The youngsters are mentored by Business School students who share the ideas, knowledge and skills they've developed throughout their degree.
The first initiative of its kind to be supported by a UK Business School. The work adopts a proactive and innovative approach to strategic collaboration, supporting the values and purpose of ASBS and Barefoot in Business.
In addition, Dr Nick Quinn has been shortlisted for MBA Director of the Year. Nick has introduced an emphasis on collaboration and co-operation where experiential learning underpins the MBA. Leading and making decisions based on the School values - engaged, enlightened and entrepreneurial, Dr Nick Quinn creates a clear, meaningful direction for the MBA. This unites people to work together and create a positive future. His drive to empower makes him an exceptional, impactful leader.
The winners will be announced in January 2026.
The AMBA and BGA Excellence Awards bring together the global business education community to recognise and celebrate excellence among business schools, students and graduates, suppliers and employers who share AMBA and BGA's values of ambition, impact and integrity.
