Professor David Heald and Professor Greg Stoner received the British Accounting and Finance Association (BAFA) awards
Professor David Heald and Professor Greg Stoner from the University of Glasgow have been recognised with prestigious awards by the British Accounting and Finance Association (BAFA). These honours acknowledge their outstanding contributions to accounting research and education and will be presented at the BAFA Annual Conference Dinner on 16 April 2025 in Belfast.
Professor Heald has been awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award 2024, a recognition of his exceptional career and significant impact on accounting and public finance. His influential research has shaped policy and practice, making a lasting contribution to the field.
Professor Stoner has also received the Lifetime Achievement Award 2024, celebrating his dedication to advancing accounting research and education. His work has profoundly influenced the understanding of accounting history, technology, and pedagogy. In addition, he has been honoured with the Outstanding Contribution to Accounting & Finance Education Award 2024, highlighting his commitment to accounting education, innovative teaching methods, and research in accounting pedagogy.
These well-deserved accolades reflect the School’s continued excellence and leadership in accounting research and education.
