Chemistry student life
The University of Glasgow is a very social university, and students are strongly encouraged to join clubs across the University and take advantage of the state-of-the-art fitness facilities on campus. Most chemistry students also join the Alchemists Club, established in 1918.

Clubs and Societies at the University
With support from the Students’ Representative Council, students can get involved in over 200 clubs and societies covering everything from academic interests and activism to arts, culture, sports, and hobbies.

Sport at the University of Glasgow
Students and staff of the School can access the University's newly refurbished Stevenson building and join the extensive UofG Sport facilities at a discounted rate. Membership includes access to fitness suites, a swimming pool, group exercise classes, indoor sports courts, and over 50 student sports clubs.
