Explorathon at Glasgow Doors Open Day

On Saturday 20th September, Byres Hub will be open for tours and the chance to sit for a live portrait by Project Ability artists.
Byres Community Hub will be open on Saturday 20th September. You can visit our exhibition area and go up to our room with a view to look out across St Mungo Square, the University's Western Campus and the south of Glasgow.
Project Ability artists will be offering members of the public the chance to sit for a portrait between 1 and 3pm!
Next door in the ARC, School of Health and Wellbeing researchers will be showcasing the fantastic research happening on your doorstep, with family-friendly activities and exhibits as part of the Scotland-wide Explorathon festival, in partnership with Glasgow Doors Open Days. This free event will run from 12-3pm on Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st September. No booking required!
Activities include:
- Neighbourhood Networks: Mapping and designing 20 minute neighbourhoods
- Can you break into General Practice?
- Healing Histories: Celebrating Africa's unsung heroes in medicine and health sciences
- Introducing evidence synthesis and complex reviews
- Making cancer screening easier for people with learning disabilities
