Dr David Grinter

  • Lecturer / Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (Mental Health & Wellbeing)

Biography

I am a clinical psychologist and lecturer in Clinical Psychology here at the University of Glasgow. Originally, I completed my undergraduate degree in Psychology here in 2006 and then my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology in 2011.

From 2011-2021 (with the exception of a 12 month career break) I worked full-time as a clinical psychologist in the Psychological Therapies for Older Peoples Service in NHS Lanarkshire where I specialised in providing psychological care in inpatient services.

In 2021 I joined the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology programme on a part-time basis as a lecturer, and continued to work in my clinical role. As of August 2022 I have balanced the role of a lecturer alongside a clinical role in NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde as a Consultant Clinical Psychologist in the Older Peoples Psychology Service.
