About Dr Johanna Green
The prize is awarded in memory of Dr Johanna Green (1983-2023), Senior Lecturer in Information Studies at the University of Glasgow, who specialised in book history and digital humanities.
Johanna was an exceptional teacher and innovator, demonstrating unwavering commitment to her students' education and personal growth. She was a model of research-led teaching, skilfully utilising the University's Library Archives and Special Collections to inspire and engage her students. Her classes were characterised by innovation, as she fearlessly embraced technology to create immersive learning experiences that her students regarded as the 'gold standard'.
