The KINPOL Centre for the Study of Kin-state Politics is a dynamic and innovative network of scholars and practitioners with expertise in historical legacies, institutional arrangements, normative and legal frameworks, ideological debates and security dynamics that shape state actions toward their ethnic kin abroad. It aims to foster informed dialogue on kin-state politics, support teaching and comprehensive research on kin-state policies and related issues, and contribute to policy development regarding the governance of ethnic kin abroad and the prevention of conflict.

Interview with Ambassador Lamberto Zannier, OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities University of Glasgow, 13 November 2018
In this short interview, Ambassador Zannier discusses the role of the academic community in supporting the work of his Office focusing on the Bolzano/Bozen Recommendations on National Minorities in Inter-State Relations and the Ljubljana Guidelines on Integration of Diverse Societies. He highlights the importance of the research conducted at the University of Glasgow on the concept of non-territorial autonomy.
