The Securitisation of Transborder Ethnic Kinship: Contextual Explorations around the World

This project explores the intersection of security and ethnic identity through case studies and comparative analyses of cross-border minority groups in Europe, Sub-Saharan Africa, the Middle East, Central America and Southeast Asia.

The BEAR network – “Between the EU and Russia: Domains of Diversity and Contestation” – was originally created as an EU-funded Erasmus + Jean Monnet Network bringing together 26 scholars from 11 universities in six countries.
