Music at Glasgow is a lively and collaborative community of staff and students from around the world.
We embrace both traditional and innovative forms of music scholarship, viewing music as playing a vital role in a wider social, cultural and political context.
Our research spans five main, interconnected areas - historical musicology, performance practices, composition and sonic arts, the music industries and ethnomusicology - each of which informs our degree courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate level.
