The School of Infection & Immunity was proud to host the Inaugural Lecture of Professor Gwo-tzer Ho on Friday, 30 May 2025 - an event that drew a full house to the Humanity Lecture Theatre in the historic Gilbert Scott Building.
The evening brought together a vibrant mix of scientists, clinicians, students, charities, funders, patients, and members of Professor Ho’s family and close friends, creating a warm and celebratory atmosphere befitting the occasion.
Head of School Professor Julia Edgar opened the event with a tribute to Professor Ho’s distinguished academic career and numerous contributions to the field.
The lecture that followed was both engaging and thought-provoking, offering insights into Professor Ho’s research and reflecting the depth of his passion for scientific discovery.
Reflecting on the event, Professor Ho said: "It was really a lovely occasion to see so many people who have helped me in my academic journey, particularly my family.
"I am very happy to return to the University of Glasgow family and look forward exciting research ahead!"
